Hugh and Jocelyn bring passion, expertise, and a shared dedication to excellence in dance education to Resolute Ballroom. Their unique journeys into the world of dance and their commitment to fostering a welcoming and supportive environment make them the heart of the studio.

Hugh began his dance career at 19, falling in love with the intricacies of Argentine Tango. This passion quickly expanded to all aspects of partnership dance, inspiring him to pursue a career as an instructor.

Jocelyn, a lifelong dancer, discovered her love for ballroom after moving to Colorado in 2018. Encouraged by her sister and brother-in-law, she took her first ballroom lessons and instantly knew it would become her calling.

​

Together, Hugh and Jocelyn have earned multiple high-level Dance Vision certifications in both American and International styles and have extensive training in popular social dance styles. They continually enhance their skills by working with top professionals nationwide, ensuring their students receive the best and most current instruction available.

Their teaching philosophy centers on helping students of all levels achieve their unique goals. Whether coaching a beginner or an advanced competitor, Hugh and Jocelyn are committed to providing personalized, high-quality instruction in a supportive and fun environment.

Known for their ethical business practices and supportive approach, Hugh and Jocelyn have built a reputation for cheering on all dancers, both in-house and within the broader dance community. Whether at a showcase or competition, their encouragement reflects their belief that every dancer deserves recognition for their hard work.
